What could be more absorbing than looking the Toy Story characters come to life in your own hands as you build them with your very own Lego construction set? It's true! Lego will be releasing the Toy Story characters construction sets in 2010! Children of all ages will now be able to build their favorite characters from the very favorite movie.
At the Venice Film Festival in September of this year huge brick sculptures of Woody and Buzz Lightyear (standing 5' and 6 ½') adorned the entry to the red floor covering built from Lego construction blocks. What's more, there were Lego construction areas set up for everybody to get in on the fun and excitement of this event. Buzz, was built utilizing an impressive 40,000 construction blocks by three builders taking about 250 hours. Woody consisted of practically 13,600 construction blocks and took about 150 hours to assemble.

These two characters stood boldly at the entry of the red floor covering for some very absorbing reasons. Their presence was to bring attentiveness to the publish of the 3-D movie version of the movie, to promote the much predicted Toy Story 3 movie that will be released next summer and last, but not least, to celebrate the begin of the collaboration between Disney and Lego with the publish of the film's construction sets due in January 2010.
